Sherlocked

It's only been forever since I posted anything on here. I keep getting distracted before I finish anything. I have a bunch of Bane doodles, some crazy Spiderman vs Doc Ock action and a whole bunch of film posters that are half done. The new series of Sherlock overtook all of those and I wanted to get some geeky stuff done to show my love.

Bane Bane Matalo Matalo

It's still about 8 months away, but it should come as no surprise that I'm crazy excited for The Dark Knight Rises coming out next year. The real challenge has been living on the internet and avoiding all the spoilerific set photos and spy videos hitting just about every film site out there. Finally however we're starting to see some official photos, and it looks so badass. I'm gonna be counting the days just like I was in 2008, so this is in no way going to be my last TDKR related post, because I'm gonna be drawing the shit out of all the things. I was actually starting a piece with Tom Hardy as his Warrior character Tommy when I started seeing the Bane photos and quickly set everything aside to draw him instead. I also wanted to do a Tinker Tailor poster soon, so there could be an influx of Tom Hardy related bits in the near future.

Fan Rant over.

Venom

Quick doodle before work, I hadn't coloured anything for a while so thought I should get back in the habit. I started a background for this pic, but the crazy perspective hurt my brain.

Doodle Dump and Grumpy Hulk

I've been rather busy of late, so drawings have piled up and aren't getting much love. Rather than leave them waiting to be coloured I thought I should just put them on here and move on. I have a few bigger and better things planned for when I have some free time, so watch this space.

HeMo

I've been trying to draw profiles more realistically recently. This is a sketch of Heather Morris, of Glee and much dancing. She has quite cartoony features so it made life a little easier.

Runnin'

Ivy Scribble

This was just a random scribble, I decided to colour it like Poison Ivy because her colours are better than plain ol' people colours.

Wanna Dance?

I've realised I don't tend to accessorise my characters too often. So I'm going to put more effort into giving them an identity.

Kneelin' & Dealin'

This started as some life drawing, but I decided to go a bit more stylized.

RiRi

Playing around with brushes and such.

Gal

Some Life Drawing, I'm trying to get back into quicker sketches.

Joker

I wanted to try something new with this today. I started colouring it a bit more traditionally but I've pretty much forgotten how to paint, building up colours and such is hard..
I shall revisit this Sooooon..

Wonder Womaaaan!

I've been too busy eBaying to draw much recently. This Wonder Woman is from a while ago, but I coloured it quickly while I had some free time.

I've also been working on and off on a new poster for Breaking Bad, one of the best TV series I've ever seen. The poster will eventually be cleaned up and coloured properly, so watch this space!

Posh Peoples

A daily dose of drawings.

Thug Life

I'm aware that I don't draw male characters too often, mainly I find it difficult to make them look interesting, so I tend to draw ladies instead. The above image came about accidentally, I guess he still looks a bit feminine. I'll try rugged people soon.

Also, another Katniss. Probably the last one for a while.

Gun Gal

Time to Draw again! It's been a while since my last post, holidaying in Spain is a decent excuse I guess, also catching up on the awesomeness that is Breaking Bad. One day I'll focus all the adoration into some Breaking Bad inspired work, but for now I'm making my way through some old drawings.

Katniss Everdeen

I'm off to Spain for two weeks tomorrow so I will have to make do with all the lovely sun rather that go on the internet all day and night. I'm also going to finish the Hunger Games trilogy while I'm away. Since finishing the first book I've drawn many different versions of the main character Katniss Everdeen, and here's my most recent attempt.

Warrior Lady!

It's been far too long since I uploaded anything here. All it took was an afternoon of no internet to drive me back here. I've been drawing bits and pieces over the last few weeks and I had forgotten how time consuming colouring can be.

I've got lots more to come but for now I have a Warrior Lady! I have no other way to describe her..

Glowing Super Monkey Lady

I've been working pretty full on recently, and alas, blogging has taken a back seat. I made some pretty decent progress today so I decided to dip into the backlog of doodles that have amassed recently and colour some.

I was watching a live stream from WETA last night about the new Planet of the Apes film, and found myself doodling a mad monkey.
Damn Dirty Humans!
